The AS 6510 automated material storage and load system allows the vertical use of space, producing floor space savings and superior material management logistics. With the AS 6510, speed and productivity are mathematically predictable and no longer linked to personnel motivation. Preprogrammed commands allow the system to work around the clock with limited operator intervention. The pallet loading elevator automatically retrieves the material shelf as scheduled through the line control computer. A lifting assembly equipped with vacuum cups descends on the top sheet of the stack and lifts one sheet. The thickness of the sheet is checked to ensure that only one sheet was lifted for loading onto the punch press table.
After punching is complete, the unloader clamps proceed forward until they detect the edge of the sheet. The clamps then hold the material and retract to their original position so the material is positioned on a pallet, which is located on the scissors table. The clamps open and the material lays flat on the pallet.
