Cut Features
There are essentially five sets of cutting attributes, or cutting features, that you can apply to the part geometry. Start Cut attributes includes all the properties for the starting point of a path. End Cut attributes contain all the information for the end of a path. You can refine the cut sequence by applying microjoints, conditions and corner features to the cutting paths. You can also apply etching conditions to patterns.
The various cut feature options allow you to interactively edit start and end cut attributes, microjoints, cutting conditions, corners and etching paths. When you load a part or sheet, the software automatically assigns the attributes to the patterns using the criteria you specified in the Material Information window.
When you select an editing option, and then move the pointer into the work area, the attributes appear as nodes. The pointer will snap to the node locations. When you move the “X” pointer close to an attribute node it highlights, indicating that it is selected.
You can only select those attributes that match the selected editing option. For example, if you select Start Cut Attribute from the Start/End Cut Attribute submenu, the pointer will only select those patterns that have start cut attributes. If you select Edit Microjoint from the Cut Microjoint submenu, the pointer will only select patterns that have microjoints.
