WinXP Power User is more restricted than Win2000 Power User. This patch will allow WinXP Power Users to write/read all the necessary files for Global. This patch will ask for the password of an administrator because this will change files that power user privilege will not be able to change. So you might need to have a network administrator use this patch. 1. Create user with "Power User" privilege". (If there is the user account already, set the privilege to Power User. If you need help with it, please see the instructions for "Userset.bat" below) 2. Log on with this new user account 3. Unzip attachment on his machine and double click EnvSet.bat 4. It will open a Dos screen. 5. Input password for administrator (The screen will not show any change from input.) After entering the password, hit Enter key. 6. It will open another Dos screen and run the batch to allow all users to share information under ASIS1V11 or other Global related files. It will close by itself once process is finished. 7. The Dos screen opened at #4 will ask for the administrator password again. Enter the password and hit Enter key. 8. Log off (Please do not use "Switch user". Select "Log Off") and Log back on with the user’s account. 9. Global should work properly for this account. * Instructions for "Userset.bat" 1. Double click on "Userset.bat" (It can be on the user account or administrator) 2. If the Dos screen asks for the password, enter the password then hit "Enter" key (If this file is used on administrator, it will not ask for the password) 3. The user set dialog box will appear. You can add user or set privilege the same way as in Win2000.
