For more than 40 years, Amada’s RG Series of press brakes have been proven performers with 70,000 machines delivered worldwide. Combined with Amada’ advanced CNC and backgauge controls, the RG press brake series offers unparalleled performance and precision, enhanced by highly simplified setup.

The RGM2 Series represents the next generation of RG up-acting press brakes. New features include increased processing speed (1.3 times faster) and increased backgauge speed (3 times faster than previous models). The RGM2’s state-of-the-art control provides precise bending control over bend angle, ram speed and backgauge positioning. The RGM2’s backgauge is equipped with a pair of 3 position (top, center, down) gauge fingers.

Roller-bearing Guide Block System

The RGM2’s lower beam moves on pre-loaded bearing guide blocks instead of conventional friction guides. This eliminates side play or uneven movement by firmly holding the beam parallel at all times.The Amada bearing guide block system is permanently self-lubricated and requires no ongoing maintenance. In addition, upward force along the lower beam is distributed in such a way that deflection along the lower beam precisely matches the deflection of the upper beam. No more valuable time wasted shimming and aligning tools to avoid canoeing and bowing of finished parts.


The frame design of the RGM2 Series features a unique
interlocking system that ensures accuracy by providing uncompromising stability.

   

AMNC-IS Control

  • The AMNC-IS control with touch screen provides for easy input of all bending data by the operator.

  • Additional machine features such as retracts, lower limit settings, and other useful functions are quickly and easily accessed through the AMNC-IS interface.

  • The database loaded on control allows for program storage at the machine while a USB port provides easy data transfer onto a USB media device.

 

 


Repeat orders are Processed Quickly and Easily

  • Capable of storing 99 steps of process data makes repeat orders a snap – critical data can be retrieved by part name.

  • A memo function allows operators to store valuable instructions and tips.




Calculations Performed Automatically

  • Input flange length and elongation is calculated automatically.

  • Programming is easy because previous process conditions are recorded and can be recalled by simply inputting material thickness.

R-Bending

  • By inputting the inner radius, the required
    bend force, feeding pitch and the appropriate
    number of steps are calculatedautomatically.



Precision-Ground, Sectionalized Tooling

  • Amada quick-change dies make tool
    changes fast, easy and safe.

  • All die “V” centerlines match exactly –
    eliminating the need to reset the origin
    of the backgauge.
