We want you to think of the LTC as a collaborative process rather than as just a facility or service. Amada's highly-trained staff will consult with you and your personnel in a continuing effort to learn your specific challenges and provide ongoing recommendations for addressing them. LTC staff will also perform in-depth analysis on process, on manufacturing needs, on design challenges, and on engineering and quality control – amassing data to develop advanced and even new methods of laser production to increase speed and enhance profitability.

Because the ultimate responsibility for QC is always in your hands, it's good to know that the unique accuracy characteristics of Amada equipment, plus the Quality Control functions resident within the LTC, will allow you better command over your part-making through better utilization of your part drawings and shop floor processes/data collection. Your drawings/specs are the source documents for the Quality Control functions of the LTC, allowing you control of:

  • Process and procedures
  • Process data collection
  • Calibration of measurement devices
  • Inspection methods
  • Inspection data collection and documentation
The LTC capabilities also facilitate the collection and analysis of shop floor data, the calibration of measurement devices, and management of your own inspection process. Special Attention Will Be Paid to:

    Reduce scrap and cutting time, improve quality.

  2. Process Engineering Improvement
    Increase run time, reduce down time, reduce piercing time, reduce unnecessary maintenance time, eliminate test cuts, eliminate daily lens check.

    Your personnel receive on the job training at the LTC (this type of in depth training is not offered anywhere else).

    Reduces costs, increases run time, improves accuracy, and allows unmanned operation, while enabling you to reallocate your labor to other value-added operations.

  5. Data Exchange
    Amada has the capability to network and share data between all of our LTC users (at their discretion).

  6. Data Recording
    The LTC can be used to develop and record cutting data. The data can be shared at the customer’s discretion.

  7. Data Analysis
    Amada engineers can analyze the data gathered at the LTC and compare it to historical data for quantitative laser measurements. Examples of measured data: power (kW), assist gas (Mpa), feed rate pulse frequency, duty cycle, focal point position, focal length, nozzle diameter, nozzle type, nozzle standoff, part tolerance, part roughness (micro inches), bevel angle (thick parts), pierced part data Amada can also assist in developing useful methods for analyzing the collected data.

  8. Custom Machine Developments
    Reduce costs, improve processing time, and improve quality.

  9. Environment, Health and Safety
    Increased productivity reduces power consumption and greenhouse gases.  Reduction in CO2 means reduced greenhouse effects. Reduction in dust
    (Zinc fumes) increases health and safety.
